About the role
Mater has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Group Finance team on a full-time, 9-month maximum-term contract, based at our Newstead campus.
This role is a key part of Mater’s finance transformation journey, contributing to the delivery of streamlined, future-ready financial processes that support our mission-driven organisation.

Salary range: $54.57 - $59.38 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As Finance Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT to map, analyse and improve financial processes.
You will:
- Document and analyse current-state workflows to identify pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Design future-state processes that align with Mater’s ERP (D365) system and business needs.
- Support process redesign, automation, and standardisation initiatives to strengthen governance and reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support change management activities to embed new ways of working.
About you
You’re an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and improving the way things work. You’ll bring both technical capability and strong collaboration skills to help deliver meaningful transformation outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a finance, business analysis, or process improvement role.
- Exposure to finance transformation, ERP implementation, or business process re-engineering.
- Proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN), Excel, and ERP systems (e.g. D365, SAP).
- Understanding of finance governance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and confidently.
A degree in Finance, Business, or Information Systems and experience within a multi-site or healthcare organisation will be highly regarded.
