About the role

Mater Education has multiple opportunities for suitability qualified Educators to join the team on a casual basis.  As a Casual educator you will see yourself delivering a range of programs in both open campus courses as well as to our corporate clients. Casual educators can also be on call to ensure a seamless delivery of education for periods of planned and unplanned leave as required.

Salary range: Commensurate with experience  


What you’ll be doing

Our casual Educators are energetic and enthusiastic and will see themselves teaching in the following areas:


Qualifications: Diploma of Nursing, Individual Support – age care and disability, Health Services Assistance and Allied Health.

Accredited Short Courses: Adult First Aid and CPR, Aged care, Health Administration, Disability Care and Medications.

Professional Development Courses: Advance Life Support, Baby First Aid, Midwife Maternity professional development, Register Nurse refresher programs, Register and Enrol Nurse Clinical Skills programs, Children high needs and Anaesthetic Nurse skill sets.

About you

You will have demonstrated success in the VET sector with a minimum of 3 years’ experience educating in the healthcare space. You will have a detailed understanding of the relevant professional and accreditation requirements accompanied by sound knowledge and experience of education institution processes.


Essential qualifications for all educators

  • Relevant qualification related to area of training and assessment

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Valid Police Check


    For diploma of nursing educators

  • Tertiary qualification or certification in relevant industry or equivalent

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse without restrictions


    Skills & Knowledge
  • Online teaching and delivery of programs

  • Advanced organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively manage and apply key conflict resolution skills in the student environment

  • High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • High level computer literacy skills

  • Enthusiastic individual who is highly knowledgeable in the relevant industry

  • Proactively identifies student and business needs and proposes value-adding solutions
