About the role

Mater has a fantastic new opportunity for a Solutions Specialist (Diagnostic & Monitoring Solutions) to join the Digital Technology and Information division, to help lead and implement a newly formed state-wide portfolio focused on supporting Mater's Digital Health goals. This position is being offered on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary range: $51.94-$55.64 per hour (Corporate and Administration Level 6) plus superannuation

What you’ll be doing

The Solutions Specialist (Diagnostic & Monitoring) role contributes as part of a team responsible for providing advice and support of diagnostic and monitoring systems, including medical device integration, across Mater. Diagnostic and monitoring systems include Enterprise Imaging Systems (PACS), Pathology Systems, device connectivity to clinical systems and future virtual care platforms. This role provides leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure maintenance, support, problem-solving and continuous service improvement. The role ensures incidents, requests and problems are managed in a timely and customer-focused manner to meet business needs. The role will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across Mater, as well as vendors and third parties to maintain effective working relationships. This role will assist in mentoring and supervising Solution Administrators at an operational level in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels and will help other business area solutions as part of a multi-skilled team.

The role reports directly to Manager Diagnostic & Monitoring Solutions and is part of the Digital Health and Informatics department of Mater’s Digital, Technology and Information division. The role maintains key relationships and accountability in serving the clinical area/speciality for which the role is assigned.

About you

To be successful in this role it would also be desirable to have:

  • Tertiary degree in area of subject matter expertise such as Pathology, Radiography or Information Technology is highly desirable.
  • Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA) membership and credentials are desirable.
  • Education or training in information technology or system administration is desirable.
  • ITIL Foundation 4
