About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse to join the Gynaecology, Urology and Plastics Surgical Ward. This position is being offered on a fixed term maternity leave contract until January 2023.

The Gynaecology, Urology and Plastics Surgical unit provides a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors, via a supportive team consisting of a Nurse Manager, Clinical Facilitator and Clinical, Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards, you will be responsible for achieving optimal patient outcomes, updating your knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth, implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management and providing support to the Nurse Manager.

Salary range: $48.66 - $52.13 (Registered Nurse Level 2) per hour plus superannuation + salary packaging

About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
  • Minimum of 3 years post grad experience working in an acute care surgical setting
  • Leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff
  • Demonstrated ability to apply current nursing research findings to clinical practice
  • Knowledge of ACHS standards
  • Experience within the specialties of plastics, gynaecology and urology will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise, knowledge and experience in the aforementioned specialties
  • Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
  • Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
  • Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice

Applicants who hold or are working towards a post graduate certificate in one of the above mentioned specialities will be highly regarded.
