About the role

Mater has an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to join our Mater at Home team. We are searching for an exceptional and experienced Psychologist on a full-time basis for a fixed term of 12 months.

You will deliver a quality psychology service to the Mater at Home client population, as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach. Mater at Home psychologists review clients experiencing a range of psychological issues and disorders on a short-medium term basis in the community.

As a member of the Mater at Home team you will deliver high quality community-based psychology services to a diverse range of clients. This includes consumers of the NDIS and other government funding schemes (including Commonwealth Home Support Program, Post-Acute Care, Home Care Packages, and Hospital in the Home).

Salary range: $55.48 – $59.67 (HP4) per hour plus superannuation + Salary Packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing?

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering psychological clinical services including assessment, diagnosis and treatment according to clinical need and in keeping with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Providing input into the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols.
  • Actively participating in the multidisciplinary team, working co-operatively and effectively with colleagues, clients, their families and external agencies.
  • Developing clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning and engaging in professional development activities.
  • Managing a clinical workload within a geographical area under the supervision of the Social Work and Psychology Team Leader.
  • Participating in the identification, development and implementation of quality improvement activities that enhance the delivery of psychology services at Mater at Home.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in health psychology.
  • An approved tertiary qualification in psychology and be registered as a general or clinical psychologist with AHPRA.
  • A current Queensland Driver’s Licence.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team
