Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is looking for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Sister Collette Unit. (The Papaya Unit)  The positions are  part time roles  and  will be based at our Rockhampton City campus.  This specialised 12 bed unit (Separate from the surgical Ward) will be a short stay ward for patients waiting on a spot in a nursing home. Although this is a surgical unit, you will require significant medical skills.

It is a requirement of the position that you can work a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts.

Salary range: $34.84 -$37.10 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to continue to provide clinical expertise in a dignified and respectful manner, working closely with patients and their families to ensure a sensitive, welcoming and friendly environment at all times, whilst providing optimal patient outcomes.

About you

The successful candidates must have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Considerable Acute Nursing experience, preferably in a medical environment
  • High level of communication skill including the ability to relate with elder patients in a dignified and respectful manner
  • The ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy, multidisciplinary team environment

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, self-starter who can work collaboratively with other speciality representatives to achieve a common goal. Further, you will be committed to providing quality care and service to patients and their families.
