What you’ll be doing
As an Education Lead and expert educator you will guide a dedicated team of educators assigned to specific program, semester or location portfolio
You will be accountable for the delivery of education and training outcomes for your dedicated portfolio, including managing and coordinating the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education and training activities and resources, student success and wellbeing.
Typical duties of the role include:
- Manage, coordinate and lead a team of educators
- Lead, coordinate and manage effective teaching and learning within classroom, workplace, simulated and online learning environments
- Ensure compliance with national training package guidelines and contribute to strategic decision-making
- Evaluate and monitor student progress and performance ensuring appropriate support is provided
- Actively lead validation of assessments through the quality improvement process
- Ensure a robust program development plan
- Ensure a thorough evaluation of programs including outcomes, impact and student satisfaction
- Ensure a variety of contemporary, innovative educational methodologies for the delivery of high-quality, engaging experiential learning are utilised
- Collaborates with professional networks, peers and colleagues to ensure alignment and consistency of education approach
- Recognise and address inefficiencies in education service provision, and continuously improve business processes.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to enable interprofessional student placements and experiences
- Represent Mater Education at expos and events
- Arrange continuing learning and professional development to maintain currency in vocational and teaching practices and clinical/technical expertise
- Manage team leave, vacancies and absences to sustain financial performance
About you
As our new Educator Lead you will possess:
- Registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current)
- Higher-level qualification in adult education is highly desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in clinical or technical specialty are highly desirable
- Current clinical skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided
- Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training
- Experience in leading teams of educators or facilitators
- Exceptional communication skills
