About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has exciting opportunity for experienced, passionate Registered Nurse to join the Papaya Ward (Patients transitioning to Nursing Home Care). A permanent position that can be full-time or part-time.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1915. Located in the leafy suburb of The Range, our Hospital is a modern 136-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, Maternity, a private emergency center and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
Salary range: $39.61 - $53.30 (RN1) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
Our Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centered clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. Still, they may not be limited to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
- Digital and computer proficiency
- Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
- Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
