About the role

Mater Health is currently seeking multiple Rotational Resident Medical Officers, to work across our Mater Hospital Campus’s. This is full time position for either a one or two year contract for a midyear start in 2025.

Mater is a teaching hospital of the University of Queensland and clinicians are eligible for academic appointment to the university. Salary range: per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Role specific expectations

• To provide medical care under the supervision and direction of registrars and senior medical staff.

• Develop proficiency in clinical, management, procedural and communication skills.
• Participate actively in organisational in-service, educational and training activities.
• Participate in the RMO clinical training program.
• The appointee will be required to participate/work rostered and un-rostered overtime, late/evening/night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Anaesthetics | Cardiology | Colorectal Surgery | Emergency Medicine | ENT/Max Fac Surgery |Gastroenterology | General Medicine/Rheumatology| General Surgery/Upper GI/HPB | Gynaecological Oncology | Haematology | Intensive Care | Endocrinology & Infectious Diseases | Renal | Neonatology | Neurology | Obstetrics and Gynaecology | Oncology and Palliative Care | Orthopaedic Surgery | Paediatrics (at Queensland Children’s Hospital) | Plastic Surgery | Respiratory Medicine | Urology | Vascular Surgery.

About you

Qualifications

• Registration as a medical practitioner without conditions, with the Medical Board of Queensland. In approved circumstances, eligibility for registration, with conditions, as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Queensland which must be produced at the commencement of employment.

• Standard Pathway will be considered if you are not from a country of competent authority, however, AMC1 and 2 and English exam will be a mandatory requirement prior to applying. Please refer to the APRHA website for more information.
