About the role
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is currently seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis.
The casual Physiotherapist position covers shifts across the 7 day roster period, inclusive of weekend work. There is also opportunities for providing cover for planned leave periods.

Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 per hour plus casual loading plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
Typical tasks of the role include:
- Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Bundaberg Physiotherapy Department
- Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision
- Provide delegation, supervision, and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers – as appropriate.
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams – as required.
- Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes
- Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies
- Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise
About you
You will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council. You will also meet the below criteria:
- Experience working in an acute hospital setting and across rehabilitation services
- A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required
- Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience
- Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
