About the role
The Mater Private Hospital Redland Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Administration Officer to join the team.
The successful applicant with be offered Permanent Part Time employment working 20 hours a week, working alongside the Patient Facilitation Team and assisting with Theatre Bookings.
Salary range: $39.79-$44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an Administration Officer your role will involve but not limited to:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients, Visiting Medical Officers, and clients. You will frequently liaise with the VMO’s and their receptionists.
- Processing patient admissions, ensuring accurate data entry input and managing theatre schedules.
- Providing administrative support to clinical staff across the Patient Services and wider Mater team.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions.
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested.
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Highly experienced in providing medical administration support (essential)
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced and demanding environment.
