About the role

Mater Research is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Administration Officer to join the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Stillbirth (Stillbirth CRE) based at Aubigny Place, South Brisbane. This full-time, maximum-term role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful research that aims to reduce stillbirth rates and improve care for families. You will provide essential administrative and research support to a dynamic team within Mater Research, helping to ensure seamless operations and impactful outcomes.

Salary range: $36.10 to $38.99 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will coordinate and support a range of activities including organizing workshops, seminars, and meetings with comprehensive diary management, travel bookings, and catering arrangements. You will assist in maintaining the CRE’s website and managing its social media posting schedule to enhance communication and engagement. Providing secretariat support by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing action items will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will offer general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the research team’s activities.

About you

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in research or administrative support
  • Proven ability to coordinate events and manage complex schedules effectively
  • Experience with website content management and social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
