About the role

Mater Private Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced Administration Coordinator to join our team in a full-time, permanent position.

Based at our growing Springfield campus, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role within a busy hospital environment, providing high-quality administrative coordination while supporting clinicians, staff, patients and families. You will lead day-to-day administrative operations, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to efficient, patient-centred service delivery in line with Mater’s Mission and Values.

Salary range: $54.57 – $59.38 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will lead and coordinate administrative services to ensure operational excellence and a positive experience for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day administrative operations across Mater Private Hospital Springfield
  • Leading, supporting and developing a team of administration staff, including rostering, leave management and recruitment support
  • Ensuring high standards of administrative quality, data integrity and compliance
  • Managing resources effectively to support financial and operational efficiency
  • Building strong relationships with clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting performance management, workforce engagement and a positive team culture

About you

You are an experienced administrative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a complex administrative setting, ideally within healthcare
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supporting administration teams
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Well-developed problem-solving, decision-making and change management capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or leadership (highly regarded but not essential)
  • A commitment to Mater’s Mission, Values and patient-centred care
