About the role

Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our Specialist Clinics – Urology Outpatient Department in a permanent, part-time role working 32 hours per week (4 days per week), based at our South Brisbane campus.

The Department of Urology provides care to locally referred patients and, through our Outreach service, supports patients across the Wide Bay region. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a highly specialised outpatient environment, where you will play a key role in supporting urodynamics clinics, preparing patients for outpatient and theatre procedures, and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Salary range: $35.93 - $38.13 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical care while supporting the smooth operation of specialist urology services, including:

  • Delivering delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with a strong focus on patient safety, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Acting as the clinic nurse within the Urodynamics Clinic, ensuring efficient utilisation and providing patient education and support prior to testing
  • Supporting the urology outreach service, including preparation and coordination of clinics
  • Preparing consultant clinics in advance to maximise appointment efficiency and patient flow
  • Ensuring patients are optimised and well-prepared for outpatient appointments and/or theatre procedures
  • Collaborating closely with Urology Consultants and escalating patient concerns when required
  • Supporting patient assessments, education, informed consent, and care coordination across the outpatient journey
  • Building strong relationships and working collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health teams
  • Participating in regular professional development activities and team meetings

About you

You are a proactive and compassionate Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working in a specialised outpatient setting and contributing to a high-performing multidisciplinary team. You will bring:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Recent clinical experience in an outpatient and/or surgical setting (urology experience highly desirable)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy clinic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centred care
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous improvement
  • Alignment with Mater’s Mission, Values, and professional standards
