About the role

Mater Private Hospital Redland, located in the beautiful surrounds of Redland Shire, has numerous wonderful opportunities available for dual qualified Registered Nurses/Midwives to join the Obstetrics and Surgical Unit. These opportunities will be offered as permanent part time (ranging from 0.5-0.8 FTE per fortnight). Actual working hours will be discussed with candidates at interview. Casual positions are also available.

Salary range: $33.73-$43.34  (Registered Nurse Level 1) per hour plus superannuation

What you'll be doing

Based in the PCU2 ward, this role will see you provide care for patients within obstetrics, birth suites, postnatal, antenatal and general surgical areas.  As an integral team member, you will support the general function of the unit using best practice principles and education whilst drawing upon your extensive midwifery and surgical experience.

About you

To be considered suitable for this position you must hold dual qualifications and AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.

In addition the successful applicant will also have:

  • Considerable experience in obstetrics and general surgery
  • A strong patient service focus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the continued quality improvement and best practice principles
  • A positive and motivated attitude with the desire and ability to work as a member of a team
  • A desire to share your experiences and participate in the future development of the unit
