About the role

Mater Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Instructional Designer to join the team. Reporting to the Project Manager, LMS Project this opportunity will be offer as full time and for a fixed term period of 12 months and based at our South Brisbane campus.

 

The Mater Group has embarked on a new project to implement a cloud based Learning Management System to replace existing legacy applications and processes. The project is responsible for delivering a modern digital learning platform offering more efficient and streamlined processes targeting operational efficiencies, improved user experience and greater functionality in the way our people access, collaborate and consume learning.

Salary range: $97 058-$103 968(MCA6) plus superannuation

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Support all SME, technical and creative development team members involved in LMS project to align with established content framework and guidelines to maintain quality and consistency 
  • Manage and prioritise workload in conjunction with Content Delivery Manager to achieve delivery timeframes and highlight issues in a timely manner
  • Plan, design and develop digital learning content in alignment with agreed project branding and templates to provide a high quality and contemporary learner experience
  • Lead in the planning, development and maintenance of support material including module templates, authoring guidelines, evaluation surveys and review process
  • Provide training advice, recommendations and technical leadership concerning the direction, production and implementation of digital learning resources to support a blended delivery model
  • Maintain a focus on improving the learner experience at all decision making opportunities
  • Provide specialist advice to other enterprise wide designers and authors to design material suitable for blended delivery to build capability across team
  • Appreciate the need to create high quality commercial product, by identifying opportunities to develop courses with appeal to the wider health industry
  • Introduce appropriate contemporary media to support learning
  • Inform project team regarding test requirements and assist with resolution where required
  • Provide expert advice in relation to emerging trends and issues affecting the delivery of education to ensure future relevance

 

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated success in a similar role in a complex organisation with the below:

 

  • Previous experience within a cloud based Learning Management System (Saba preferable)
  • Previous experience within various content authoring tools
  • Proven experience with managing and documenting project outcomes
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts
  • Demonstrated appreciation for Adult Learning Principles
