Senior Manager - Donor Services

Mater Foundation has an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join their team in the role of Senior Manager Donor Services (SMDS). Reporting to the Executive Director of Philanthropy this role will be offered in a permanent, full time capacity and based in South Brisbane. 

Mater Foundation’s mission is to deliver long-term fundraising programs which create connection within the community and to fulfil the philanthropic interests of its supporters. Through best-practice engagement and fundraising methods the team at Mater Foundation assists supporters to make a positive impact to improve the health of our communities through health, education and research programs at Mater.

The Philanthropy Team is focused on individual giving and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with individuals and business through:

  • Major gifts
  • Trusts and Foundations
  • Corporate partnerships
  • Internal philanthropic engagement, including Mater’s Nursing and Midwifery Alumni program.

This role represents a career defining opportunity to join a leader in the field of philanthropy and healthcare and as a member of the Senior Management Team you will support and contribute to the overall management functions and processes of the Mater Foundation.

Salary range: $97,266 - $104,202 + super + option to salary package to boost your take home pay

About the role

The SMDS will construct, manage and improve support services for the fundraising activities of Mater Foundation with an emphasis upon high value relationships. These services include, but are not limited to: Moves Management implementation and reporting; donor prospecting; and prospect research.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate and monitor the design, implementation and practice of Moves Management practices into all appropriate fundraising areas throughout the organisation
  • Embed a systematic approach to donor prospecting and research with a focus on high-value relationships
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders These include:-
  • Donors, community partners, community groups
  • Mater Foundation team members
  • Other Mater volunteers, staff, patients and visitors
  • Service partners
  • Maintain and uphold database management and integrity

About you

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated success in a similar role within the fundraising sector, coupled with a recognised qualification in fundraising and or an associated discipline. This is a hands-on role however you will be a proven strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities across the business. You will  have exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly-functioning and outcomes-driven senior team.
