Mater Health Services has exciting and rewarding opportunities for dynamic Team Leaders to work in our Health Administration teams on a full time basis. This is a wonderful chance to join a market leader in healthcare and a proudly values led organisation.

There are two roles available that will report to Administration Managers based in South Brisbane. One permanent role in Mothers, Babies & Women’s Health Services, and one fixed-term contract with Cancer Care and Neurosciences.

Salary range: $72,640 -$80,033 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience).

What you’ll be doing

As a Team Leader in Administration you will make a positive impact with your team in delivering patient support services. The role is fast-paced and ever-changing, and your efficient, best-practice processes will be evident.

  • Coach, develop and supervise your team members to develop individuals to deliver high-performance using contemporary management approaches
  • Continual enhancement of service performance, processes, and practices to achieve high work standards by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Effective workforce management of service provision to meet business requirements and manage resources
  • Devise strategies and operational plans with your Manager and stakeholders to achieve work group outcomes
  • Effectively communicating with patients, visitors, and all levels of staff to resolve issues, deal with complaints, and manage changes to improve the patient experience
  • Building trusted relationships and effective working partnerships with internal stakeholders.

About you

You are an experienced Team Leader who is prepared to go the extra mile for clients and their team. As a champion of customer services and processes, you effectively interact with your team, peers, and senior Management to ensure service performance is maximised and provide a supportive team environment.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated success in a similar role, and proven abilities:

  • Previous experience with delivering operational administration, preferably in a complex health setting
  • Experience managing and supervising a team, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional services, and ensuring the team achieves all tasks within timeframes and requirements
  • Proven experience with continuous improvement of processes and procedures and managing improvement opportunities with a range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • High level office management and information systems skills, specifically MS Office and network information systems, and an ability to rapidly acquire advanced proficiency in such systems.
