Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg has provided excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Bundaberg and its surrounds since 1946.

Located within the medical precinct on Bourbong Street, our hospital is a 59-bed facility featuring four operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for After Hours Nurse Unit Managers in a permanent part-time capacity, working across a 7 day roster.

The After Hours Nurse Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective leadership and management of the facility after business hours. The After Hours Nurse Manager will be responsible for patient outcomes, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, business management and leadership outside of business hours.

Salary Range: $59.87 – $67.21 + superannuation and access to generous salary packaging of up to $15,900 per annum

Candidates must have:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) relevant to the necessary scope of practice;
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience across surgical and medical settings
  • Knowledge and experience of the facility requirements and standards;
  • Prior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a healthcare environment

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in nursing;
  • Membership and active participation in relevant or professional organisation/associations;
  • Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, human resource and business skills.
  • IV Cannulation experience; advanced Life support (Adults and Paediatrics).
