About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available as Car Parks Manager. This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working 38 hours per week, based at South Brisbane.

The Car Park Manager role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of Mater Car Parks across Queensland located in busy healthcare settings. The Car Park Manager provides operational management ensuring the responsibilities of managing the physical environment, people, processes, and technical elements are achieved.

Salary range: $39.36 - $43.39 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

This role will lead a high-performing team, handle customer issues, drive financial success, manage compliance, and risk, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.

The Car Park Manager will be accountable for team performance driving standards of excellence across the team to deliver commercial success. The role will work under limited direction navigating complex systems and mechanics and have review and control of all car park operational budgets.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  •  Utilise extensive knowledge and expertise in complex systems and mechanics to manage the smooth running of 6 car parks across SEQ and Townsville with a capacity of 5000+ vehicles in busy healthcare settings, meeting operational targets and objectives
  • Independently manage day-to-day operations ensuring efficient processes, proactively solve problems to maintain uninterrupted service, and maintaining overall operational awareness among the team
  • Coordinate planning to mitigate disruptions and minimise impact on clinical services, staff and visitors
  • Partner with relevant teams to uphold and enhance safety standards within the car parks are maintained and escalate issues appropriately in a timely manner
  • Provide on-call support for the response or coordination of timely resolutions for escalated incidents

Essential

  • Proven experience in staff management, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience using Skidata or similar high volume transaction system
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders
  • Strong client liaison skills to address car parking issues and complaints promptly and professionally

Desirable

  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial and business data to inform decision-making and contribute to financial success.
