About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redland’s Allied Health Team are seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist with a passion to assist patients to return to their optimal level of functioning. This Permanent Part-Time position is being offered for 64 hours per fortnight (Mon-Thurs) with the potential to increase as the department expands. This role is available for an immediate start.

The hospital features a three-level main hospital building incorporating 60 inpatient beds, 3 operating theatres, birth suites and access to a wide range of clinical services.

Salary range: $40.65-$56.12 (Health Practitioner Level 3) plus super & salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will work mainly with patients requiring lower limb orthopaedic, neurological and medical reconditioning and includes acute/subacute inpatient, day therapy and outpatients.
As an Occupational Therapist you will be experienced in providing exceptional service to adult patients and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, measuring outcomes and dedication to continuous improvement will be boosted by your strong understanding of the requirements for contributing to a safe workplace in a rehabilitation environment.
About you
You will be a strong and confident communicator, communicating effectively with patients, families and professional colleagues at all times.
The successful applicant will possess:
- At least one-year post registration experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred) but new graduates are also welcomed to apply.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist,
- Demonstrated ability to provide occupational therapy clinical services,
- Knowledge, expertise and skill within Orthopaedics and Neurological Rehabilitation,
- Lymphoedema training is desirable but not essential,
- A current Queensland Driver’s License.
