Mater Research are looking for a Quality Manager to join the team! This permanent, full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

Salary range: $116,504 - $123,286 plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900.

What you’ll be doing

The role of the Quality Manager is to support quality research conducted with a specific focus on clinical trials at Mater Research.

This role is responsible for ensuring that Mater meets all requisite accreditation and quality standards.

This role provides leadership for the continual review of existing quality systems and subsequent development of new systems requirements.

The role will development/and or amend new policy, procedure, work instruction, monitoring and auditing frameworks and strategies to ensure research is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory and institution requirements (Including NHMRC and TGA guidelines, funding requirements, National Clinical Trial Governance Frameworks and Mater Policy and procedures.)  

This role will work with the Snr Manager of Research Compliance, Snr Manager of Clinical Trials and Mater Health Clinical Governance to provide support, education and expert advice that facilitates identification, reporting and improvement of safety and quality aspects of clinical research.

About you

You will have a degree or higher qualification with subsequent experience in Quality systems, clinical trials or research, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and or education/training. You will also have:

  • Experience in supporting quality management in a large health care or medical research organisation, including, current knowledge of legislation, guidelines, standards, requirements relating to clinical trials and research, or a demonstrated ability to acquire this knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and to independently establish work priorities to set realistic goals and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with influence with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep an up to date working knowledge of guidelines and legislation requirements and to adapt established practices in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
