Registered Nurse – Medical Unit

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our medical unit.

The Medical Unit offers a variety of opportunities to care for patients that have specialised care needs. This includes rehabilitation, oncology, hematology, and general medicine. The Medical Unit is a supportive team of Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health staff who together care for patients, carers and family whilst they are at Mater hospital.

Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

As a Registered Nurse you will provide quality care to patients with particular consideration to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. You will be willing to work with the current team to plan and deliver clinical excellence. Your skills as a Registered Nurse may see you also be an active participant in quality and safety activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Preferred experience in medical nursing, you will receive orientation to the Medical Unit and given training and support.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving.
• Available to work across all shifts on a rotating roster.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
• Demonstrated high level of communication (written and verbal) and the ability to effectively communicate with your team
