Mater’s Digital Technology and Information Division is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for a 24-month contract. This exciting opportunity, which reports to our Program Manager, will require you to lead the delivery of our Statewide Windows 11 Upgrade and Cyber related activities and play an influential role in their success.

Located at our corporate office in Newstead, this position is crucial for planning and implementing automated, trusted, and secure digital capabilities across various healthcare services and facilities statewide.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

 As our Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage the successful delivery of all components required to deliver the Project scope
  • Coordinate the delivery across Mater Group, addressing challenges and opportunities
  • Design and develop components of the work to be delivered
  • Drive a fit-for-purpose change management strategy using a structured methodology and leadership of change management activities
  • Provide advice to the Sponsoring group on all aspects of the project
  • Adopt and follow Mater project practices and tools
  • Be an active contributor to the project community to continuous improvement activities with the Portfolio Office
  • Actively manage project budget and resource assets to deliver strong financial performance
  • Prepare regular progress reports and supporting documents
  • Promote the project goals, manage communications, and quickly establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage escalated risks in collaboration with the program manager and project sponsors
  • Actively partner with consumers and patients, as well as interprofessional colleagues, to determine service and operational objectives
  • Analyse business data to inform strategic decisions, respond to issues and trends, and maintain and report on key metrics
  • Recognise and address inefficiencies in service provision
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and identify strategic and operational opportunities for improved financial outcomes
  • Set a clear strategic direction over the project time period, construct clear operational and action plans for work within a 1-year period
  • Effectively manages key relationships across peers and clients throughout Mater

About you

We are searching for someone who is/has:

  • 5+ years Project management experience within the IT sector
  • Certificate or Diploma in Project Management and/or
  • Prince2 Certification
  • High-level experience in complex stakeholder management and relationship-building
  • Demonstrated change management/business readiness experience and expertise
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential
