About the role

Mater is seeking a Senior Digital Infrastructure Specialist to join our Digital Infrastructure team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of packaging software applications for deployment across our hospital's network. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our digital infrastructure and contribute to the ongoing success of our organization.

The successful application will be offered a 20 month Fixed-Term contract. This position requires 38 hours per week and will be based at our corporate office in Newstead. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support our Mater South Brisbane campus on certain days, providing a dynamic and diverse work experience. Salary range: $114,475.80 - $122,915.05 (MCA 6) per annum plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Digital Infrastructure Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating and managing packages for Maters T1-T3 applications used across our campuses and business units.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in application packaging tools such as Microsoft AppV, ZENworks, Windows Deployment Toolkit, Citrix platform, and Windows Server/Desktop modern management approaches.
  • Utilizing your working knowledge of Windows application installers (MSI, InstallShield Exe), PowerShell Scripting, and Microsoft Windows 7/10.
  • Managing workstations and application deployments, as well as updates for MOE (Managed Operating Environment).
  • Understanding and delivering on a series of accountabilities linked to the Mater strategy, including Safety, Experience, Quality, Efficiency, and Financial Viability.
  • Contributing to your own performance development planning and actively seeking feedback.
  • Collaborating with the team and actively participating in team-based projects and initiatives.
  • Create and review IT infrastructure management documentation and processes.
  • Develop and design specialized technical infrastructure solutions within your area of expertise.
  • Provide valuable advice and recommendations on technology, implementation approaches, resourcing, and operational requirements, including software licensing.

About you

Ideally, we are searching for a Senior Digital Infrastructure Specialist who is/has:

  • A tertiary degree in area of subject matter expertise or Information Technology is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a complex healthcare environment
  • Ability to support and promote a client-focused customer service delivery culture within the IT environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and how they apply to IT operations.
  • Experience in IT systems implementation or project coordination.
  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively with team members of diverse clinical and experiential backgrounds.
  • Ability to lead and mentor less senior staff, sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and support procedures for one or more technical domains.
