About the role

Mater’s Procurement and Supply Chain Operations team has an exciting opportunity for an ICT Procurement Specialist to join us to support the contract negotiations to rollout applications for our Springfield stage two project.

This is a contract opportunity until February 2026 and will see you based at our Newstead location working closely with our IT project team.

Salary range: $99,810 - $108,603 p/a plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of sourcing and procurement activities. Typical duties of the role include:

  • Understand and support ICT category strategy to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and implement QITC based procurement plans based on customer needs and priorities.
  • Manage low to medium complexity ICT procurement projects for continuous improvement.
  • Create request for proposal documentation and maintain supplier knowledge database.
  • Monitor benefits and support negotiations for best value.
  • Implement contracts with performance incentives and manage supplier performance.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues with suppliers.
  • Support contingency planning and occasional travel may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

About you

  • Although not essential, a relevant procurement qualification or certification or related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated procurement experience within a large, complex and diverse organisation
  • Demonstrated QITC tender development and evaluation experience.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in working with commercial and contract negotiations and contract and supplier management under the QITC Framework.
  • Supplier engagement experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary ICT procurement and category management practices and issues, relevant regulations and the ability to deliver best-value quality customer services.
  • Knowledge and experience of e-procurement and contract management systems is essential
  • Proven IT skills, including the Microsoft office suite.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively to influence positive connection with all suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
