About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is looking for a Registered Nurse to join their Oncology unit in a casual capacity.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a RN, you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships and be required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes relevant to the ward.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
- Have demonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
- Have the ability to function within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Previous experience with administering chemotherapy and experience with CVADS is desirable however not required. If no experience, willingness to acquire the skill
- Previous experience within oncology is desired but not necessary. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
You will have strong leadership ability and experience, excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to promote the philosophy and values of Mater to all staff.
