About the role

Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is currently seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team on a permanent, part-time or full-time basisPlease note, this role will commence in January 2025.

Salary range: $38.25 -$56.06 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you'll be doing. 

Typical tasks of the role include: 

  • Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Bundaberg Physiotherapy Department
  • Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision 
  • Provide delegation, supervision, and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers – as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams – as required.
  • Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes 
  • Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies  
  • Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise 

About you 

You will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council. You will also meet the below criteria: 

  • Broad experience working in an acute hospital setting and across rehabilitation services- desirable but training otherwise can be provided
  • A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required 
  • Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience 
  • Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care 
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
