About the role
Mater Mackay is offering an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified Senior Maintenance Officer to join our Engineering Services Team. This is a permanent, full-time position.
As a Senior Maintenance Officer, you'll support the Engineering Services Team with electrical and refrigeration repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on equipment, systems, and processes to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of hospital assets.
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- Hold a current relevant Trade qualification i.e., Refrigeration, Carpentry, Painting or Have extensive experience in performing maintenance within large facilities.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of an on-call roster.
- Enjoy working in a multi-dimensional role within a multiskilled team.
- Understanding and application of Safe Systems of Work (e.g., Permit to Work, Confined space).
- Ability to communicate confidently in written and oral forms at all levels within the organisation and to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in computerised reporting systems.
- Current manual driver’s license (C Class)
- Eligible to work in Australia.
- Previous experience in contractor and industrial plant management is advantageous.
