About the role
Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital Brisbane are seeking Endorsed Clinical Midwives interested in working within the My Mater Midwife Model of Care. Exciting opportunity available for a 12-month maximum term full-time or part-time caseload position with a small team of highly motivated midwives and doctors.

Salary: $54.44 - $58.30 (RN/RM2) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing
As a My Mater Midwife, you will work in collaboration with private obstetricians who are the primary care providers to women accessing this model of care. Each private midwife would manage an agreed number of women throughout this journey, offering antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in hospital and at home on an on-call basis. Ongoing collaborative arrangements with like-minded professionals, leveraging inter-disciplinary practice to best meet the needs of women and a family friendly on call roster and working arrangements. This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated midwife to provide exceptional midwifery care, proficiency in coordinating, assessing, risk management and communication within a multidisciplinary framework.

 The successful candidates will have:

  • Current registration with APHRA with Midwifery endorsement (working towards endorsement will be considered)
  • Experience of continuity of care models and or Private midwifery care desirable
  • Significant postgraduate experience in a Midwifery environment
  • Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to role model the Mater values
  • You will also have excellent communication skills, evidence of collaborative care, be hard working, self-directed, enthusiastic, and approachable and display both initiative and a high level of motivation.
