Mater Health is seeking a committed Rehabilitation Registrar to provide high-quality clinical care under the supervision of a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering person-centred rehabilitation following injury, illness, or elective surgery, and who thrives in collaborative, team-based care environments. Based at our South Brisbane campus, the role is maximum term 4th August 2025 – 1st Feb 2026.
Salary range: commensurate with experience plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Deliver clinical care and advice to patients requiring rehabilitation in consultation with the Rehabilitation Consultant.
Conduct patient interviews, examinations, investigations, and documentation.
Maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and discharge planning.
Participate in after-hours cover, quality and safety programs, and professional development.
Contribute to audit and quality improvement activities.
Maintain professional behaviour aligned with Mater values and uphold the dignity and confidentiality of patients.
About you
You are a driven and compassionate medical professional who:
Holds registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Queensland.
Is a current registrar trainee with the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM).
Demonstrates strong communication, clinical decision-making and teamwork skills.
Values professional conduct, patient dignity, and the philosophy of holistic care.
Understands and adheres to hospital policies and infection control standards.
Is committed to ethical medical practice and continuous learning.
Current registration with the Medical Board of Queensland.
Enrolled in a registrar training program with the AFRM.
