About the role

Maters regional Supply Chain Operations team is seeking a casual Supply Chain Operations Assistant based at the Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.

The Supply Chain Operations Assistant role will provide essential support in managing inventory and warehouse operations efficiently. Your proactive approach will ensure a smooth workflow of inventory receipt and distribution to our valued customers, while maintaining quality stock control through timely communication. As part of our centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team, you will contribute to fostering collaborative and customer-focused relationships.

Salary range: $31.24 - $36.44 + casual loading per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

You will play a key role in supporting continuous improvement activities and driving positive change in our regional supply chain services. Responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure accurate receipt and distribution of goods within the warehouse
  • Prioritise and raise issues with orders and stock, collaborating with the Supply Chain Operations team for resolution
  • Support stocktake activities and maintain high-quality stock control processes
  • Consistently and timely distribute goods to Mater Health customers following communication and process standards
  • Follow imprest management processes and use the provided online system
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives for effective imprest management and stock replenishment
  • Provide support to Mater customers and contribute to safe and quality health service operations
  • Foster clear communication with the regional leadership team and work as a cohesive team
  • Participate in team development activities and contribute ideas for ongoing improvement
  • Promote Mater Group and Mater Health values internally and externally
  • Adhere to governance rules and Work Health and Safety guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and undertake additional duties as required

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in warehousing operations in a large, complex organisation
  • Experience working with inventory management platforms, including imprest management
  • Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) or equivalent (highly desirable)
  • Previous inventory and warehousing experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
  • Organised and detail-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and collaborative team player focused on customer outcomes and solutions
  • Strong commitment to service delivery and ability to contribute to process improvement
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and continuous improvement
