About the role

Join Mater’s Supply Chain Operations team in a casual Storeperson / Imprest Officer role based in South Brisbane and potential to cover Redlands and Springfield.

In this role, you will provide efficient inventory and warehouse operational support to the Supply Chain Operations team. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth inventory receipt and distribution to Mater customers, as well as timely communication to support quality stock control.

Salary range: $31.24 - $33.68 + loading per hour plus 11.5% superannuation plus 23% casual loading and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As part of the centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team, you will contribute to building collaborative relationships and adopting a business partnering approach. The typical duties of the role include:

• Ensure accurate receipt and distribution of goods within the warehouse
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Operations team to address order and stock issues promptly
• Support stocktake activities and maintain high-quality stock control processes
• Follow Mater Supply Chain Operations imprest management processes for replenishing stock levels
• Provide excellent customer service, contribute to team development, and adhere to quality, risk, and governance guidelines
• embrace the one-team approach to deliver regional supply chain services, including purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, imprest management, and customer service

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have a Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) in addition to:

• Demonstrated experience in warehousing operations, preferably in a large, complex organisation, within a healthcare setting being preferred
• Proficiency in working with inventory management platforms, including imprest management
• Organised, detail-oriented with a change mindset
• Proactive in raising issues and finding solutions within a team environment
• Strong focus on customer outcomes and service delivery
• Collaborative mindset for process development and improvement
• Committed to best practices and continuous quality improvement
