About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane currently has an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join the team within the Haematology and Oncology ward on a permanent part time basis working 32 hours per week.
Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and the continuum of care
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
About you
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Minimum of 4+ years post graduate experience in oncology or haematology
- Leadership and team leader experience
- Post graduate Diploma or higher (desirable)
- Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy administration, central venous line management, and the management of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Comprehensive assessment skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate management and workloads
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement process, coupled with the proven ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement measures
