About the role

Mater’s Built Environment – Development and Infrastructure team is seeking an exceptional Planning Coordinator in this full time, maximum term 12-month opportunity based at Newstead.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate projects within the planning portfolio of the Built Environment and support Capital Works at Mater.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director Built Environment, the primary responsibility of this role will include:

  • Support Program Planning Coordinator with Space, Art, Wayfinding and signage activities
  • Develop and update project management governance and methodology
  • Review project proposals, cashflows, and programs for policy consistency
  • Coordinate communication with stakeholders for project updates
  • Maintain inventory of project tools and templates
  • Monitor project status and risks for timely completion
  • Support project managers with financial data
  • Prepare interim reports and provide regular updates to management
  • Lead or participate in Built Environment portfolio projects and tasks

About you

The ideal candidate will have a qualification or certification in Change or Project Management.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Current valid Driver's License
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proven track record of fostering robust client relationships, mediation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Competence in Property Management & Space Management Software
