About the role

Mater’s Digital Technology and Information (DTI) team has an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join the team in this full time, maximum term, 6-month parental leave coverage based at our Newstead offices.

The Project Coordinator role contributes as part of a team responsible for the investment funded refresh plan that includes all DTI infrastructure and application assets. These projects and initiatives will include changes to technology, systems and business processes that are aligned with the Mater Group strategies and plans.

Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator, this role will offer continuous operational support through confidential administrative and professional assistance. The role involves liaising with Mater staff and important external stakeholders to effectively organise and manage the office, as well as coordinate and disseminate relevant material.

Salary range: $53.24 - $57.92 (MCA5) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide professional, timely and effective project administration for successful project delivery
  • Undertake project management activities including tracking actions, decisions, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Create, track and monitor purchase orders, invoices and budgets for projects and operational DTI cost centres
  • Provide leadership and guidance in quality management for consistent delivery across the DTI
  • Coordinate timelines and priorities in consultation with clients and peers
  • Offer specialist technical or administrative guidance to team members
  • Assist in maintaining documentation consistency across DTI
  • Monitor project progress through status reports and other reporting requirements

About you

  • Relevant qualification in Project Management and PRINCE2 certification, desired
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, or similar software
  • Experience in procurement and project budgeting, preferred
  • Advanced communication skills, including presentation and written skills
  • Ability to interact effectively at an executive level
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a diverse team
  • High level of understanding of Mater Group operations
  • Experience in a program management office and/or health/hospital environment is highly desirable
