About the role
Applications are sought from experienced Registered Nurses with relevant knowledge and skills to apply for the full-time, permanent position of Clinical Nurse Team Leader within the Ambulatory & Outpatients Services, commencing 14th July 2025
Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following;
Assist the Nurse Unit Managers in leadership of the nursing team by providing direction and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
Be accountable for daily operational management in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager
Act as a clinical and educational resource within AOPS using your knowledge, skills and experience to inform and guide evidence-based workplace practices
Resource management of nursing staff to ensure service delivery is maintained, including rostering, sick leave management, and allocation of workloads
Act as an initial escalation point for clinical and non-clinical issues including, but not limited to, complaints, challenging patients, conflict resolution, deteriorating patients and IT system faults
About you
To be considered for this role you will have;
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in AOPS or an acute hospital setting
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable conflict management skills and demonstrated initiative to improve service delivery
Demonstrated clinical leadership skills, organisational skills and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience working with a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience working in a Team Leader position will be highly regarded
Demonstrated role modelling and promotion of the Mater Values
