About the role Mater is looking for two motivated Allied Health Assistants to join the team, located at our South Brisbane campus. We have a Maximum 9 month Full-time contract and a Permanent Part time position available working 23 hours per week.
Salary range: $34.02 - $35.66 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing The purpose of the position is to deliver competent and professional assistance to clients, families, clinicians and care providers.
Key tasks will include:
Supporting a multi-disciplinary team with clinical administrative duties
Supporting allied health clinicians by preparing and maintaining equipment and resources for clinical care, as required
Delivery of clinical services under the supervision of an allied health clinician
Facilitation of an individual or group program with clients in their home or at a community-based centre
Communication with the treating clinician to ensure an understanding of program requirements and reporting on outcomes of visits
Review of equipment prescribed to the client, ensuring it is working correctly and the client is using safely
Participate in identifying and/or completing quality improvement projects
About you
No mandatory formal qualification, however a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is desirable
Have or have the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and an NDIS Worker’s Screening card (Yellow Card).
Hold a current open or provisional Queensland Driver’s Licence
Demonstrated practical ability to work with clients
Computer skills and ability or aptitude to use electronic and basic information technology media
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and respond appropriately to changing demands.
