Mater Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This is a full-time, maximum-term (12 months) parental leave position based at our Newstead offices, with time spent at other SEQ campuses as needed. The role will report to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner.

Salary range: $124,394 -$133,248 per annum (full-time) plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In close collaboration with a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with business leaders and functional HR teams, within the Centre of Excellence, to ensure that our people strategies are aligned with the organisational goals and needs.

This will involve coordination and partnership across various levels of the organisation to drive effective human resources management.

About you

Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or extensive experience as a Human Resources generalist. 

  • A minimum of 5 years working in a generalist Human Resources role.
  • Experience working in a Human Resources Centre of Excellence model is beneficial
  • Proven and successful problem-solving abilities leading to lasting employee relations solutions.
  • Demonstrated coaching and communication skills.
  • High standard of interpersonal skills and capability in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to be discreet when dealing with confidential information and demonstrated integrity when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Self-motivated and proactive working style.
  • Attention to detail, result-oriented, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to form strong professional relationships with others, earning their trust, and being able to influence all levels of management in the business.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application HR management practices across diverse business.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial and employee relations and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated background in improving the effectiveness of people leaders in an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of initiatives, organisational change and growth.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or other operational industries is beneficial.
