About the role

Mater’s Digital Technology and Information (DTI) team currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team in full time, maximum term contract for 10 months (until June 2026).

As the Project Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for successfully delivering on the scope of work for our Health projects. You will coordinate project delivery across Mater Group, address specific challenges, and tailor solutions to meet unique requirements. This will include collaborating closely with senior leaders and business representatives to deliver on the intent of the projects, leading the various work streams and managing their ongoing delivery.

To do this successfully, you will be required to engage and negotiate with key stakeholders, develop project delivery plans, build and monitor benefits management plans, drive user uptake and report on progress.

Salary: $62.74 - $67.20 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage project delivery by overseeing all components required for successful completion of project scope
  • Coordinate project delivery across Mater Group, addressing challenges and specific needs
  • Design and develop work components such as communications, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Implement a structured change management strategy and lead change management activities
  • Provide advice to Steering Committee on project aspects
  • Monitor project progress using Mater project management methodologies, identifying risks and issues
  • Manage project budget and resources for strong financial performance
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for improved financial outcomes
  • Address workplace health and safety concerns within reporting structure
  • Set strategic direction, develop operational plans, and establish performance objectives aligned with Mater's strategy.

About you

  • Must have demonstrated project management experience
  • Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Project Management and/or Prince2 Certification
  • Ability to build high-performance interprofessional teams by developing talent and fostering trust
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, quick to learn and apply new skills in challenging situations
  • Demonstrates respectful accountability, holding self and others accountable through constructive feedback
  • Skilled at driving sustainable behavioural change in individuals to achieve improvements, including workflows, habits, and clinical practices
