About the role

Mater’s Digital Technology and Information (DTI) team is thrilled to offer an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team on a full-time, maximum term contract for 10 months (until June 2026) based at our Newstead location.

As the Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing various workstreams, collaborating with senior leaders and business representatives, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Salary range: $62.74 - $67.20 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As a Project Manager at Mater, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects within the Digital Technology and Information Division. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate delivery of projects across Mater Group
  • Design and develop components of work
  • Drive change management strategy
  • Provide advice to Steering Committee
  • Manage and monitor projects using Mater methodologies
  • Promote project goals and manage communications
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage escalated risks with project sponsors
  • Partner with consumers and patients
  • Maintain strategic relationships
  • Analyse business data
  • Address service inefficiencies
  • Manage project budgets and resources
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making

About you

To excel in the role of Project Manager at Mater, you will need to have:

  • Prior demonstrated project management experience
  • Certificate or Diploma in Project Management, or Prince2 Certification
  • Proficiency in building high-performance interprofessional teams
  • Skilled in enacting sustainable behavioural change
  • Ability to analyse business data and inform strategic decisions
  • Proven track record in addressing service inefficiencies and improving processes
  • Experience in managing project budgets and resources for strong financial performance
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Results-driven mindset and commitment to Mater's mission of excellence in healthcare services
  • Desirable: Experience in the health sector, particularly in implementing clinical applications
