Physiotherapist 

Mater Private Hospital Redland Allied Health Team are seeking a Physiotherapist with a passion to assist patients to return to their optimal level of functioning. This casual position is predominantly to cover regular weekends and leave cover (Mon-Fri) as required.

Mater Private Hospital Redland offers a convenient location for patients and visitors living in the Bayside area. Building on Mater’s reputation for clinical excellence, Mater Private Hospital Redland provides a range of surgical, rehabilitation and medical services to support the needs of the local community. The hospital features a three-level main hospital building incorporating 60 inpatient beds, 3 operating theatres and access to a wide range of clinical services. 

Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 (HP3) per hour plus Casual Loading plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing 

In this role you will work mainly with patients requiring acute physiotherapy interventions for orthopaedic, general surgical, neurological and medical conditions. This includes acute inpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and day therapy patients.  

As a Physiotherapist you will be experienced in providing exceptional service to adult patients and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, measuring outcomes and dedication to continuous improvement will be boosted by your strong understanding of the requirements for contributing to a safe workplace in an acute inpatient and rehabilitation environment.  

About you 

The successful applicant will possess: 

  • At least one-year post registration experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred), new graduates are also welcomed to apply.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist, 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide physiotherapy clinical services, 
  • Knowledge, expertise and skill within acute Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, 
  • A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required 
  • Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care 
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
