Mater Research are looking for a Neurology Research Fellow to join the team! This part time, maximum term role will be primarily based at our South Brisbane campus with extensive academic and research collaboration undertaken at the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) for a two-year period.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to work closely with the Cognitive Neurology Research Group to conduct high-quality research projects involving human participants with cognitive disorders due to degenerative brain disease.

What you’ll be doing
As a Neurology Research Fellow, you will be responsible for supporting the Group Leader in developing, coordinating, and undertaking research projects. Your key duties will include conducting original research in cognitive neurology, enrolling in a PhD program through the University of Queensland, attending cognitive neurology clinics, and contributing to clinical trials at Mater Hospital.
About you
You are a dedicated and qualified individual looking to make a difference in the field of cognitive neurology research, who holds:
- AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
- Completion of two full-time equivalent years of core neurology training OR recent completion of neurology training OR demonstrated commitment to training in Neurology
- A commitment to Mater Group's philosophy and mission, with personal attributes of integrity, tact, and respect for confidentiality
