About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Facilitator to join our team in a permanent part time capacity, of 24 hours per week.

Based at our Rockhampton location, you will provide direct and indirect support and supervision to clinicians to promote and facilitate positive clinical outcomes and High Value Healthcare. You will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education to meet current and emergent Mater staff learning needs and support staff to work at top of scope.

Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education to address learning needs, build capability and support staff to work at full scope
  • Support professional development and performance improvement processes
  • Observe, assess and provide feedback on staff performance
  • Use simulation and varied education methods to strengthen critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving in practice
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in education and clinical practice
  • Embrace and support staff through change processes
  • Engage in educational research and quality improvement activities
  • Promote a culture of learning and empowerment
  • Identify evidence-based improvements for high-quality care
  • Promote staff satisfaction and improve clinical outcomes through professional development
  • Communicate effectively and contribute positively to the workplace

About you

Essential

  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
  • Postgraduate qualifications in relevant specialty or working towards them
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience
  • Knowledge of education and training in Australian healthcare organisations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn relevant computer applications
  • Strong time management, analytical problem-solving skills, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups, including volunteers and community organisations

Desired

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current)
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and/or clinical supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education
