Mater has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Support Educator to join the team at our South Brisbane campus in a full-time permanent capacity. This role is responsible for standardising customer service processes across statewide teams, guiding the rollout of the service recovery program, and leading the design and implementation of targeted training initiatives aligned with Mater Health’s service excellence goals. 

Salary range: $70.32 - $75.47 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!  

What you’ll be doing

You will lead training and development by partnering with statewide teams, SMEs, and managers to identify learning needs, design role-specific curricula, and implement competency-based pathways.

  • Manage and deliver high-level programs and projects, including end-to-end coordination, strategic planning, and resource allocation across multiple sites.
  • Drive quality improvement and process reviews within Clinical Education, shaping operational strategies and service plans.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing authoritative advice and leading change management initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement customer service and service recovery training, embedding a strong service culture across Mater Health’s frontline teams.
  • Coach and lead administrative and support teams, enhancing performance, job satisfaction, and consistency in customer experience.
  • Use data-driven insights to assess training effectiveness, identify systemic gaps, and inform future learning strategies.

About you 

You will hold a Certificate 3 in Administration or Certificate 4 Training and Assessment or higher would be highly regarded.

  • Minimum 5 years previous administrative experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Ability to promote the Vision, Mission and Values of Mater.
  • Significant, proven experience of identifying, developing, establishing and maintaining robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and develop collaborative work environments where trust, integrity and open communication are valued.
  • High level facilitation and influencing skills along with strong decision-making skills with the ability to set, manage and implement priorities.
  • Ability to drive for resolution.
