About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our Rehabilitation Ward on a permanent part-time basis of 32 hours per week.

Our 136-bed hospital feels like home, with five operating theatres, private emergency services, and a broad range of specialised care right here to support the health and wellbeing of those who live in and around Rockhampton.

Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

You will become an integral part of the team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those you care for, while making a positive contribution to the overall standard of care delivered by the unit. You will join a team of highly skilled multidisciplinary professionals, and your enthusiasm and dedication for nursing will be highly valued within a supportive and professional environment.

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
  • You will provide technical assistance during procedures, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care at all times. 
  • Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
  • Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

You will be driven by a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can bring your energy and experience to this dynamic team of passionate nurses.

Other skills and experience include:

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Minimum 12 months post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated rehabilitation nursing experience (Desired)  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of the multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times.
