About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay is currently seeking applications from experienced Administration Support Officers to join the team in a casual capacity.
This role will specifically sit in our medical suites and would suit someone with prior administration experience in a medical setting. This position will see you undertake specific functions and tasks that focus on maintaining exceptional customer service and enhancing the patient experience. Candidates must be available to work any shift between 6am and 10pm, including weekends.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1927. Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 (MCA3) per hour + 25% casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Administration Support Officer will undertake a range of administrative activities and operations requiring the application of skills and experience with general knowledge of the work to be performed as a member of the administration team of the Hospital.
- Undertake all assigned duties, tasks and activities within the scope of personal expertise and following relevant policies, procedures and verbal or written work instructions of the Hospital and/or Mater
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of best practice initiatives and processes associated with assigned duties and tasks
- Manage time effectively to meet task-associated deadlines whilst ensuring that those associated with the patient care experience take priority
- Identify efficiency and improvement opportunities and/or participate in any resulting change or implementation processes
- Undertake any necessary training or development opportunities that foster workforce flexibility through skill enhancement
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical receptionist or customer service focussed position and a minimum Certificate III qualification in a related discipline.
- A high degree of agility to respond to a variety of arising matters and job assignments
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in written and interpersonal communication
- Digital and computer literacy
