About the role
Join Mater as a Senior Administration Officer in South Brisbane, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to Mater patients and their families. This is a maximum-term contract looking to commence in January 2026. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to build a career in health administration in a multicultural environment.
Salary range: $34.09 to $38.10 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Administration Officer, you will support the day-to-day administrative operations of the Mater Refugee and Multicultural Health Service. Your responsibilities will include assisting with clinical service delivery, business support, systems administration, and other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
Administration Officers may work across a range of clinical services, including:
- Supporting newly arrived clients from refugee backgrounds to access healthcare services across Brisbane.
- Coordinating health care for multicultural clients with complex medical and social needs.
- General Practice clinic for people seeking asylum.
- General Paediatrics and Psychiatry clinics for clients from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
About you
To be successful within this role you will need:
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn and use software systems quickly
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication skills and strong English proficiency
- Form and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Accurate and efficient in data management
- Able to work independently to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Able to effectively respond to a changing work environment
