About the role
Join us as a Category & Contracts Specialist - Corporate Services & FM at our Newstead location, you will play a vital role in driving Mater's procurement initiatives to achieve value for money. You will work within a dynamic team to establish and execute category objectives, maximize value through strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with Mater's standards.
Salary range: $54.57 - $59.38 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for various categories, maintaining up-to-date supplier knowledge, supporting procurement activities across different categories, and managing contracts to ensure they align with Mater's priorities. Your role will also involve collaborating with project teams on Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE) procurement, implementing procurement systems for data accuracy, and contributing to the industry engagement plan for the category. Additionally, you will be instrumental in negotiating commercial contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
About you
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Relevant procurement or business qualification/certification
- Demonstrated experience in category and contract management within a large, complex organization
- Proven track record in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and resolving complex procurement issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders
- Customer-focused approach and commitment to Mater's behavioural standards
