About the role
Mater is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Services Officer to join our Digital Technology and Information Division at Mater, based in Newstead. This full-time, maximum-term position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to multi-year technology and infrastructure projects while providing essential operational and administrative support within a dynamic and values-driven healthcare environment.

Salary range: $49.96 to $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will provide professional project administration and coordination to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives aligned with Mater’s strategic objectives. You will manage procurement processes, monitor budgets, and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. Collaborating closely with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders, you will support program and project management activities and contribute to continuous quality improvement within the division.

About you
To be considered for this position you should be:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint or similar platforms
  • Experience in project administration, budgeting, and procurement (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, including executive stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within diverse teams
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK (desirable)
  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is an advantage
